Character Name: Terezi Pyrope
Appearance:
Terezi has bright red hair (currently), however it’s actually black. Most people would think she wouldn’t care much about her appearance being almost completely blind, but she does like to mix it up. Her hair colour and styles often vary, from short and messy to longer and curly, she likes to stay different especially when going out. Her favourite of course, is her red hair and for the most part, leaves it rather curled.
Her skin is fair which she gets from her mother who is Irish. Her black hair comes from her father who is half Greek half American, so Terezi has a pretty wide mixture of nationalities.
Being born almost entirely blind and classified legally blind (20/200 or lower), Terezi’s eyes are a very light, almost white, blue colour, which she will wear her glasses over occasionally.
As for height, Terezi is tiny, very, very tiny, only measuring up to 4’11, which really doesn’t help for manoeuvring crowds in the busy city of New York. Along with her small stature, she’s small everywhere else and has been described as being “all angles” or “an entity of elbows”.
Her blood type is AB+, only adding to the strangeness of her body.
Terezi’s taste in clothing can be pretty odd at times, she often dresses in strange shirts she found online with rude slogans, or even a few that have blind jokes on them; all good humour of course.
Age:
The ripe, prime age of 14
Magica Element:
Terezi can harness the power of Fire to aid her in strife but has a pretty piss poor control over it for the time being.
Personality:
Terezi likes to take everything with good humour, death, life, good mark on an exam; she will try to lighten the mood in any way possible. This, however, doesn’t mean she is all sunshine and rainbows; she gets just as angry and hurt as any other person, it just takes a lot to actually hurt her.
One thing she can be pretty sensitive about is her blindness. Whilst she often jokes about it, if she falls or bumps into something and gets laughed at, she can be pretty offended, replying with “How could you laugh at a blind girl?”
A large part of Terezi’s mindset is that justice should always be served, rather than exacting revenge. She is a rule follower, believing they should be enforced… unless they’re just plain stupid. Terezi aspires to be a Lawyer like both of her parents, and bring justice to the world.
Flirting is one of her favourite past times, and will do so to get a rise out of people. There is nothing like hearing the uncomfortable tone in someone’s voice, or seeing a blush spread across their cheeks (if she’s close enough).
Speaking of close enough, Terezi has no sense of personal space whatsoever. Upon first meeting someone she’ll come right up to their face, getting a good look at their features and using her hands to get a better sense, this could be why some people find her overbearing.
Loyalty is an important thing to her and, if a friend is in danger, she will do her best to protect them at all costs, because without her friends she wouldn’t be anywhere in life. As such, betrayal is something that stings deeper than anything.
Biography:
Terezi was born legally blind, something that any parent finds hard to deal with. Being only able to see an arm’s length away, she wasn’t able to get around as easily as she would like, the result was a rather protective mother.
Due to this, Terezi often pushed her mother’s limits to the point of her mother giving up and giving her the freedom she needed, as well as someone, or something, to watch over her.
For her eighth birthday, she was gifted with a Seeing-Eye dog who she named Pyralspite, who quickly became her closest friend and guardian.
After this, her parents began working more and more leaving Terezi to her own devices. Terezi was more than pleased to hear this and began to take to the streets more and more with the help of Pyralspite. The city captivated her and she spends her days around Central Park, or at home, roleplaying with her friends online.
Three years later, her parents got divorced which Terezi was rather bitter about for the most part. Her father moved away and they rarely keep in touch any more, when they do it's mainly to ask how she is on her birthday and send her a gift. She's been angry with him ever since and doesn't talk about him.

Other:
Nothing else to really say, except that with her eye sight she can see an arm’s length away. For about half her arm, her vision is near perfect, after that is deteriorates and once it reaches her finger tips it is generally gone. She still uses a cane, but Pyral helps her out more than anything.
I apologize if the grammar is a bit out, oops, writing apps at 12am is not a thing you should do.

What a day, what a day. The young not-red-headed-red-head thought to herself, dumping her school bag onto the floor of her room, kicking off her sneakers and collapsing onto the bed. The first day of school is always a bitch.
Pyralspite, loyal and calm, stood by the door. Terezi could hear her sniffing about and a gentle sigh escaped her lungs as she rolled onto her back and hit the bed with her hand. “Come here, Pyral. Come lay with Tz” she called affectionately. The sound of paws on floorboards lifted up to Terezi’s ears, shortly followed by a new weight added onto the bed. Her hand found the top of the Labrador’s head and she scratched her ear, murmuring a “Good girl, best friend” to her.
She was tired, that was apparent. The day had been hectic, she had fallen over on the streets three times and she could have sworn she heard some boy’s laughing at her. If she knew where they were, she would have given them what for. Fortunately for them, she did not.
From there on, the day was rather terrible. She missed her train and got to class late, then got lost again during school, Pyralspite had no idea where they were going, because Terezi had no idea. That was always problematic. She ended up having to stop a stranger in the halls and ask for directions; of course, she actually asked an international student, who was just as lost as she was.
When the day was finally over, she was simply glad to be at home. Stretching out a hand, she found her laptop and brought it close and sat herself upright, resting it on her lap. It was time to unwind.
Terezi was more than anxious to see if her character had gotten anywhere with their significant other, and wasted no time logging on to waste her evening on that, rather than doing something productive with her time.
Life was good.
